Need computer programming skills in order to more effectively teach your science courses?

The three required courses out of a total of five courses required to earn the University of Maine Graduate Certificate in Computing for Educators ( are offered this summer. These three courses include:

• SIE 504 The Beauty and Joy of Computing 

• SIE 507 Information Systems Programming (Python)

• SIE 508 Object Oriented Programming (Python leading to Java)

Start with a single course or perhaps apply for the full graduate certificate before beginning the coursework.
