The Maine Environmental Education Association enhances and amplifies the efforts of individuals and organizations building environmental awareness, appreciation, understanding, and action in Maine.

Schoodic Institute engages people in responding to environmental change through research and learning. We offer programs and know-how to connect schools, communities, and nature through science.

To generate research and outreach geared towards helping families, scholars and professionals better understand the complexities of parenting relationships and work collaboratively with coparents and other parental figures to raise healthy and happy children.

The Island Institute works to sustain Maine’s island and coastal communities, and exchanges ideas and experiences to further the sustainability of communities here and elsewhere.

Drawing on a rich tradition of excellence, the College of Education and Human Development at Maine’s flagship university is committed to leading innovation in Maine’s PreK-12 schools, higher education institutions, and agencies that support academic, cognitive, physical, social and emotional development. We promote effective teaching and learning, identify critical issues, conduct research, and disseminate findings. The Elmina B. Sewall Foundation supports work in Maine to improve the well-being of people, animals, and the environment while fostering relationships that strive for social equity and community resilience.

The New England Grassroots Environment Fund, inc. (Grassroots Fund) seeks to energize and nurture long term civic engagement in local initiatives that create and maintain healthy, just, safe and environmentally sustainable communities. The Fund uses stories, tools and dollars to fuel local activism and social change
